GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Failing to signal turned into a much bigger problem for a man and woman traveling on Knollwood Road in White Plains on January 30.

According to Greenburgh police, a 53-year-old West Harrison man and a 30-year-old Scarsdale woman were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after a clear plastic bag containing what appeared to be crack cocaine was observed on the rear floor following a traffic stop about 3:30 p.m.

A subsequent investigation revealed the man had a suspended driver's license and an active bench warrant from Greenburgh. A white pill was also discovered.

Flagged Down: A motorist reports while driving toward Anne and Andy Daycare on Saw Mill River Road in Elmsford on January 30 at 5:45 p.m. she was flagged down by a woman holding a large stack of papers in the middle of the street. As the driver stopped, the woman, described in her 30s, who was accompanied by a heavyset man, tried to open the passenger side door, which was locked. The motorist then sped away.

Car Damage: On January 30 at 11:45 a.m., police received a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle at Curry Acura on Central Avenue in Scarsdale. The manager reported unknown person went into outside parking lot and damaged a red 2009 Acura TSX with an unknown object. There was damage reported to the hood and front driver's side headlight.
